A Loot the Room Side Quest

Not every story is written in quest logs and boss fights. Some are scattered across dungeon floors, half-buried in grime and bone. Where’s Waldus is a narrative side quest pack that transforms environmental details from the Champions of Aelden dungeon map into real, discoverable story moments. Discarded gear, forgotten tools, and ominous artifacts become tangible clues in the search for the missing Arcane College archaeologist, Professor Waldus Jones.

Seed the Clue cards into your Loot the Room deck and play as normal. As heroes explore, they may stumble upon traces of Waldus’s journey—each discovery revealing a little more of his fate. Whether introduced all at once or slowly uncovered like breadcrumbs through a campaign, the clues form a flexible, emergent investigation that rewards observant players and curious Quest Masters alike.

This pack is light on rules, heavy on atmosphere. Sometimes, the story was there all along—you just had to notice it.
