HeroDraft Blue
First Edition Booster Packs
HeroDraft is a simple way to introduce your party to this amazing set of expanded equipment and potions. You get a randomized assortment of 10 equipment cards (drawn from a master set of over 600 cards, including special Blueprint cards), 2 random potion cards from the Alchemist Shop collection, and 1 random Dreadening for the GM to spice up the dungeon.
Do you want a HeroDraft Booster Pack printed for you? Head over to TheGameCrafter.com to order one.
Would you prefer a full Booster Box (20 packs)? You can also find that on our TheGameCrafter.com storefront.
Here is an example of a sample draft…
The GM (game master) will open the pack and immediately draft out the Dreadening card (careful not to reveal it) and up to two equipment cards. This is to screen for anything overpowered, or inappropriate, for the party’s composition of job classes. These cards are placed face down.
Starting with the player on the GM’s left, each hero will review the rest of the pack and select one card they can immediately use and pass the pack to their left.
Once all participating heroes have two equipment cards, they may determine who gets the two potions from the pack.
If there are fewer than four players, the extra cards are given to the GM.
Once the party is equipped, the GM will reveal the cards withdrawn before the draft. These items (along with any excess) are sold to the Armory (@50% of the total value, rounded down) and the profits are given to the party.
Next you will need to determine what your draft dungeon or quest will be. The Dreadening card from the pack will be applied, and the game begins. The GM may elect to reveal the Dreadening or keep it a secret until later.
NOTE: If the pack contains Blueprint cards, these have no value in gold coins. Instead of selling them, they may be given to the party as a reward for surviving the draft quest/dungeon.
